We defined the core mission of our group to help the Shores Board of Trustees become better at communicating and supporting the homeowners while exceling in their fiduciary duties.
We listened to our member Nick Orlando discuss the plan he presented to the board to safely re-open amenities in our building – we are looking for volunteers to help review the plan with Nick and elevate its effectiveness.
Overwhelming support to strongly advise the board to overcome their concern regarding liability issues associated with opening the outdoor pool.
Ask trustees who have no faith in the building’s ability to support them in case they are involved in personal litigation as a result of the moral, legal and ethical decisions they make while on the board to step down immediately.
Ask the board to please create an open session for the board in person in our courtyard well before the next scheduled meeting on July 15th
Concern that the café should be invested in and opened as soon as practical. We are looking for volunteers to find an operator and create a business plan to submit to the board to get this café opened as soon as possible
Ask the board to provide an alternative gym for members to use if they can not find a way to open the gym facility safely.
Change the focus of our property manager back to being a home owner advocate and not the voice of the board of trustees and a capital projects manager and to continue our successful tradition of leveraging professionals in our community to manage our capital projects.
Communicate to the board through the proposed survey the board is due to send by April 17 –we need full participation in the survey to help our board understand how they can improve.
Create a new plan to secure the building from unauthorized visitors entering from the beach side of our property.
Create an effective plan for beach services this summer and implement the plan on Memorial Day 2021.
Immediately create an outside exercise program for homeowners led by certified instructors until our gym can be safely re-opened.
